Dr. Cansın Saçkesen, is a professor of Pediatric Allergy in School of Medicine. She has experiences about PBMC culture, cytokine analysis, dendritic cell, T cell, B cell stimulation and interaction, immunoglobulin synthesis and measurement, DNA isolation, PCR, protein electrophoresis and IgE binding to peptides. She studied about CD14, TLR4 and TSLP polymorphisms in children with asthma, allergic rhinitis and food allergy. She studied the association of indoleamine 2,3 dioxygenase and tryptophan pathway with tolerance development in children with food allergy. Now she is focused on the immunologic mechanisms of IgE-mediated and non-IgE-mediated food allergy, asthma and venom allergy in clinic and laboratory research projects.
