Dr. Alper Kiraz is a professor of Physics and Electrical-Electronics Engineering at Koç University. He received his B.S. degree in Electrical-Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University in 1998, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2000 and 2002, respectively. He worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Chemistry Department of the Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich in the group of Prof. Andreas Zumbusch and as a visiting professor at the Biomedical Engineering Department of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in the group of Prof. Xudong Fan. His current research interests include optofluidics, energy photonics, optical manipulation, and biomedical instrumentation. Fore more information please visit his research group webpage.
