Having completed his undergraduate education in Çukurova Statistics department, Dr. R. Onur Öztornacı completed his master’s degree in Mersin University, Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics, with the thesis “: Effective Factors on the Performance of Classification Trees for Genetic Association Studies”. Before starting her doctoral studies, she studied Genetic Relationship Studies (GWAS) in the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Liverpool University and started her doctorate program in Mersin University, Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics. While doing his PhD, he participated in teaching and research at Uppsala University and the University of Leeds. At the same time, he wrote his thesis titled “Prediction of Polygenic Risk Score in Genetic Relationship Studies with Machine Learning and Deep Learning” in the field of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics within the scope of YÖK 100/2000 project. Working fields; Genetic Epidemiology, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Biostatistics/Bioinformatics.
