The 3D Prototyping Laboratory of the KUTTAM is an advanced biomanufacturing center that provides applied, basic and clinical researchers with personalized assistance, training, and support on all aspects of 3D prototyping. Our main goals are: (i) to provide KUTTAM researchers and external parties with knowledge to lead a detailed investigation of applications that do and do not benefit from miniaturization, (ii) to guide them on the current and emerging 3D printing technologies for a variety of medical uses including microfluidic chip fabrication and prototyping for various clinical applications such as implants, scaffolds, etc. (iii) to provide KUTTAM researchers and external parties with consultation on the advantages and limitations of each 3D printing technology, and (iv) to provide 3D prototyping service including design and post-processing such as characterization of their platform.

The 3D Prototyping Laboratory of the KUTTAM is located within the shared-use facility in the KUTTAM space of SNA Building at Koç University Rumelifeneri Campus. The Center is available to researchers only by appointment. All users must be trained before they are allowed to use the equipment. Training and assistance in the use of the instruments and associated technical procedures is provided by appointment and in scheduled in-service training sessions. Equipment in the state-of-the-art facility includes HP Jet Fusion 580 Color 3D Printer,HP Jet Fusion Muffler, and 3D Metal Printer (EOS M290 with 400W laser).
