Dr. Murat Hasanreisoglu received his medical degree from Ankara University, School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Ankara University, School of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology. He worked as ophthalmology resident at Rabin Medical Center (Israel) between the years of 2003-2009. Meantime, he did research on various neuroprotective modalities as a member of an ocular research laboratory at Felsenstein Medical Research Center (Israel). From 2011 till 2020, he worked as a faculty member at Gazi University (Turkey), Ophthalmology Department, director of Uveitis/Ocular Oncology Service, and a member of Retina Service. During these years, he finished a prestigious postdoc research fellowship on Ocular Oncology at Wills Eye Hospital, Thomas Jefferson University (US) supported by Post-doctoral Research Grant by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey and also had the opportunity to work as a visiting scholar at Moorfields Eye Hospital, Uveitis Clinic (London, UK). He was awarded with European Board of Ophthalmology Diploma after having the highest score among other European applicants. He worked as a visiting scholar at Byers Eye Institute at Stanford University (California, US) at intervals. Besides his ongoing clinical ophthalmic research on uveitis and retinal diseases, his translational research focusses on retinal drug delivery systems and utilization of artificial intelligence in ophthalmology.
