Dr. Lercan Aslan, 2010 yılında Marmara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nden mezun olduktan sonra, İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda asistanlık eğitimine başladı. 2019 yılında Koç Üniversitesi Hastanesi’nde çalışmaya başladı. 2021 yılında doktor öğretim üyeliği kadrosuna geçerek, KUTTAM ile ortak yürütülen sonlu eleman analizleri ve biyomekanik araştırmalarda bulundu.

2023 yılında TÜBİTAK proje desteği alarak bir yıl boyunca Harvard Üniversitesi bünyesindeki “Foot and Ankle Research and Innovation Laboratory”nde, Soheil Ashkani-Esfahani’nin direktörlüğünde talus osteokondral lezyonları, sindesmoz yaralanmaları ve ayak bileği travmaları üzerine araştırmalar yaptı. Aynı dönemde, Christopher DiGiovanni ve John Kwon ile klinik gözlemcilik yaptı.
