Robin Palvadeau has graduated from the University of Rennes 1 (France) majoring in biology and physiology and obtained his MSc degree in Bioinformatics. His education mostly focused on -omics data obtained from Next-Generation Sequencing technology, programming and biostatistics. A first experience led him to University of Montreal (Canada) where he completed his graduation project under the supervision of Prof. Gertraud Burger on the genome annotation of a recently sequenced species Diplonema papillatum. After graduation, he started a position in a world renown biotechnology company, Interactive Biosoftware (Sofia Genetics) in France, which provides software for variant exploration and annotation. In October 2018 Robin joined KUTTAM-NDAL to develop alternative in silico strategies in order to improve the search for disease-causing genetic factors in neurodegenerative processes. Robin is further responsible for the introduction of Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease and peripheral neuropathies into NDAL’s research area and the genetic analysis of these diseases.
