Dr. Buse Cevatemre holds a bachelor’s degree from Celal Bayar University and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Uludağ University. During her higher education she was involved as an investigator in 13 research projects on anti-cancer drug development and cell death mechanisms supported by TÜBİTAK 1001 programme and Unit of Uludag University Scientific Research Projects. Her doctoral studies were focused on the molecular relationship between the pyruvate dehydrogenase enzyme complex and epithelial mesenchymal transition in cancer cells. She obtained fundings from TUBITAK 1002 (as a project coordinator) programme and Unit of Uludag University Scientific Research Projects for her doctoral studies. In 2018, she is rewarded with the “MOKAD Young Basic Cancer Researcher” award by Molecular Cancer Research (MOKAD) and Basic Oncology Society. Dr. Cevatemre’s post doctoral research aims to explore the mechanisms of metabolism (Warburg effect), epithelial mesenchymal transition and tumor microenvironment-related resistance mechanisms in cancer cells.
