Dr. Özgür Albayrak received his undergraduate education from Kocaeli University Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department of Chemistry, his master's degree from Yeditepe University Institute of Science, Biotechnology Master's Program, and his PhD from Koç University Graduate School of Health Sciences, Cellular and Molecular Medicine Doctorate Program.
Dr. Özgecan Kayalar received his BSc, MSc and PhD degrees from the Department of Biology at Istanbul University and his minor from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at the same university. His graduate studies were conducted to investigate the mechanisms of lung repair and regeneration in the C57BL6/j mouse model of hyperoxic lung injury.
Dr. Yunus Akkoc holds a bachelor’s degree from İstanbul Kültür University. He received his Ph.D. degree of Molecular Biology, Genetics and Bioengineering from Sabancı University, under the supervision of Dr. Devrim Gozuacik. His doctoral studies were focused on deciphering abnormalities of the autophagic machinery in cancers through investigating autophagy-regulating miRNAs and tumor microenvironment.
Dr. Öyküm KAPLAN ARABACI completed her bachelor studies at Istanbul Technical University, and master studies at Bogazici University Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, respectively. She completed her doctoral work at Georg August University Göttingen within the Molecular Physiology of the Brain Program and Max Planck Institute for Experimental Medicine under the supervision of Dr. Hiroshi Kawabe and Prof. Dr. Nils Brose.
Dr. Nesibe Peker received her BSc degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Bilkent University in 2013. The same year, she was awarded TEV-SINGA scholarship and started to pursue her Ph.D. at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Dr. Şükriye Bilir, took her B.Sc. degree from Istanbul Technical University, Molecular Biology and Genetics department. Followingly, she achieved her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Osaka University in Japan. Her Ph.D. thesis was about the nuclear pore complex formation mechanisms during cell division under the supervision of Prof Hiraoka and Prof. Haraguchi.
Dr. Emine Şekerdağ, earned both her Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Science degree of Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences at Leiden University in the Netherlands and completed her Neuroscience PhD study at Koç University in Turkey.
Dr. Elif Ugurel obtained her bachelor’s degree in Medical Biological Science in Istanbul University, Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine and completed her master of science and doctoral education in Institute of Experimental Medicine in Istanbul University.
Dr. Elanur Yılmaz holds a bachelor’s degree from Hacettepe University Department of Biology. Following her graduation, Dr. Yılmaz obtained her master’s degree from Aydın Adnan Menderes University on population genetics of a fish species. She earned her Ph.D. in Medical Biology and Genetics from Akdeniz University School of Medicine.
Dr. S. Can Ozcan holds a D.V.M. degree from Uludag University. He completed his doctoral studies at Uludag University in the field of biochemistry and cancer cell metabolism. His doctoral studies were focused on the role of PFKFB enzymes on oncogenic transformation of panreatic ductal cells.
Dr. Ayşe Derya Cavga completed her bachelor’s and master’s studies in Molecular Biology and Genetics in Bilkent University, working on liver cancer in the laboratory of Dr. Mehmet Öztürk. She then completed her Ph.D. studies in the Computational Systems Biology Lab in Koç University, under the supervision of Dr. Özlem Keskin, Dr. Attila Gürsoy, and Dr. Nathan Lack. During her Ph.D.
Dr. Alişan Kayabölen holds a bachelor’s degree from Molecular Biology and Genetics in Middle East Technical University (METU). He did his master’s study on “development of vascularized adipose tissue using stem cells and hydrogels” in Biomedical Engineering, METU.
Dr. Ahmet Cingöz received his bachelor’s degree in biology at Istanbul University, and his master's degree in medical biochemistry at Marmara University School of Medicine. Then, he earned his PhD degree in Cellular and Molecular Medicine PhD program at Koç University under the supervision of Dr. Tuğba Bağcı-Önder.
Dr. Ehsan Sarayloo holds a bachelor’s degree from Iranian University of Science and Technology in Chemical Engineering, M.Sc. degree from Sharif University of Technology in Biotechnology and PhD degree from Koç University on Chemical and Biological Engineering.
Dr Muhammed Yüksel acquired his Bachelor, Master and PhD degrees at Ghent University Hospital in Belgium. His PhD in immunology was about the “Validation of a mouse model of autoimmune hepatitis (AIH)” and after the first 1,5 years at Ghent University.
Robin Palvadeau has graduated from the University of Rennes 1 (France) majoring in biology and physiology and obtained his MSc degree in Bioinformatics. His education mostly focused on -omics data obtained from Next-Generation Sequencing technology, programming and biostatistics.
Dr. Ceren Tunca has graduated from Sabancı University Biological Sciences and Bioengineering Department and obtained MSc and PhD degrees under the academic mentorship of Prof. A. Nazlı Başak from Bogaziçi University in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics.
Berna Morova has received her BS, MS and PhD degrees in Physics Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. Between the years of 2010 – 2017, she worked as a Research Assistant in the same department.
Dr. Ceren Tunçer graduated with a BSc Biology from Middle East Technical University and studied her postgraduate degrees in the Medical School of The University of Birmingham in United Kingdom.
Dr. Nazlı Ezgi Özkan-Küçük holds a bachelor’s degree from Istanbul University in Molecular Biology and Genetics. She then obtained her master’s degree in Molecular Medicine from Istanbul University, Experimental Medicine Research Institute.
Dr. Deniz Uğurlu-Çimen holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Bilkent University, a PhD degree from Koç University on Molecular Biology and Genetics. Her master studies were focused on treatment of breast cancer in Assoc. Prof. Işık Yuluğ Lab.
Dr. Noushin Zibandeh received her BA degree from Tabriz University, MS degree from Ankara University and got her Ph.D. from Marmara University. Dr. Zibandeh investigated the immunomodulatory mechanism of dental follicle mesenchymal stem cell on Atopic
Dr. Buse Cevatemre holds a bachelor’s degree from Celal Bayar University and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Uludağ University. During her higher education she was involved as an investigator in 13 research projects on anti-cancer drug development and cell death mechanisms supported by TÜBİTAK 1001 programme..
Dr. İlknur Sur holds a bachelor's degree from Gazi University and a master's degree from Yeditepe University. She completed her doctoral studies at Cologne University. Her doctoral studies were focused on the role of Nesprin-1 in DNA damage response pathway, which are determinants of genetic instability in cancer and age-associated diseases
Dr. Yashar Esmaeilian obtained B.Sc. degree from Urmia University Department of Veterinary and attained M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Biotechnology under Prof. Esra Erdemli’s supervision at Ankara University Institute of Biotechnology.
